2026 Team Award finalists Outstanding School Improvement
The Outstanding School Improvement award recognises exceptional school staff within a Victorian government school
who have demonstrated excellence to improve whole-school outcomes through strategic planning and improvement initiatives, and have made a significant contribution to developing effective partnerships with the broader community to improve overall school performance.
Our school was a finalist in the Outstanding School Improvement Award. It is still with shock and disbelief that I can confirm WE WON the award. From the moment they announced we were the winners, the rest was a blur. I still cannot believe it. And when telling my family, that night, I even said to them I cant believe it. And simply they responded, we know how hard you all work! Whilst I was a little taken back at that, hard work doesnt always result in wins, but in talking to them over the weekend, its not just the hard work, they explained, its the care, the time on weekends clearing all the admin so you can be present with the kids at school, the late night phonecalls, the community connections and the belief that your students deserve the very best. And that about sums it up. The one thing I am truly grateful for is the continued support and shared vision and beliefs of the staff and families and students we have the pleasure of working with week in and out. This truly is a MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT. The leading school in School Improvement from across the state. There are 1613 public schools in Victoria. And KVPS has been rewarded for leading the way with school improvement. ASTONISHING!!!
