Junior Public Speaking - Regional Finals

The compatision was very competitive, bringing a total of 10 students from Five other schools [Henty, Culcairn, Thurgoona, Yackandandah, Kiewa/Tangam] in our district.

These Two students did our school very proud.
senior speakers were given 10minutes to write a 1minuite speech on "If you were principal of your school for One day, what would you do/change? and deliver it to the audience.
Makensie did a wonderful job being put on the spot.

Lions Club Junior Public Speaking Competition

Last Friday, students from Grades 3–6 participated in the next round of the Lions Club Junior Public Speaking Competition.

Eight students were selected to represent their classes, with four students from Grades 3/4 and four students from Grades 5/6. To reach this stage, students first wrote and prepared their own speech on a given topic before presenting it to their class. From these class presentations, students were selected to progress to the next round of the competition.

On Friday, our selected speakers presented their speeches to students in Grades 2–6, teachers, Lions Club judges and visiting parents. It was fantastic to see the students confidently share their ideas and demonstrate their developing public speaking skills.

After some very difficult judging, our Lions Club judges selected the winners and runners-up from each year level.

Congratulations to all eight students who took part. We are incredibly proud of the confidence, preparation and effort they demonstrated. Harper and Makensie will now progress to the next round of the competition in Thurgoona. We wish them the very best!
