Division Cross Country - Wodonga

Division Cross Country Run Willow Park Friday 29th May 2026

The Upper Hume Division Cross Country Run took place at Willow Park, Wodonga in foggy conditions on Friday 29th May.

The 17 runners from our school found the going a little tougher in Wodonga, running against the best runners from our area, including students from the bigger Wodonga schools. Congratulations to all runners and especially to the qualifiers and to those who tried their best on the day. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to
Gianna D, who finished in 9th place in the 9-10 girl’s race.
Victoria W, who came 8th in the 11 girl’s race.
Beau H who finished 2nd in the 12 year old boy’s race.
All three qualifiers improved their times from their efforts in the District event at Corryong.

They will now head to Benalla on Friday 12th June to test their skills in the Hume Regional Cross Country Run, over the same distances. They will be competing against runners from the Seymour, Shepparton and Wangaratta Divisions. Best of luck everyone!

District Cross Country Run – Corryong 2026

On Friday 22nd May, 38 students in grades 3-6 from our school travelled to Corryong to compete in the District Cross Country Run. This competition includes runners from Corryong, Kerribana, Tallangatta and Bandiana schools.

Unlike last year’s race which was the perfect day for ducks and breaking the drought ,we were faced with the perfect day for running. The trip up to the Upper Murray was foggy and cool and the weather remained as such for most of the day. The sun finally made its way out for the latter part of the day and the trip home.

The 9 -10 year olds were the first to race, followed by the 11s and then finally the 12year olds.

Congratulations to all competitors who tried hard on the day and certainly showed their best. To progress to the next stage students had to place in the top 10 in each race.

The following 19 students qualified to compete in the Division Cross Country Run, which will be held at Willow Park in Wodonga on Friday 29th May.

Kiewa Valley Primary School Cross Country Run 2026

Although a low, persistent fog hung over the event last Friday, it didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the runners in both the junior and senior cross country runs held at the school.

The foundation to grade two students ran in an event around the perimeter of the school, while the grade 3-6 students competed in the 2km and 3 km events around the green belt estate at the back of the school.

Well done to all the participants, but special mention must go to the students who have qualified to compete in the district cross country run to be held on Friday 22nd 2026 May at Corryong.

The district event involves students who have qualified from Baranduda, Bandiana, Tallangatta and Corryong. The event will held at the football ground/golf course at Corryong.
